This is Jaded Ink’s first band that we sponsored, which introduced us to the local music scene. We would trade ink for publicity on all their social media platforms as well as being in the public eye to promote us.

One Day Remains also performed at Jaded Ink’s body art fashion show at the Barnyard Theatre, where over 500 people attended

The band also recorded a music video in the Jaded Ink studio, which featured Brandon Auret and Jade. They also wrote and recorded a song for Jaded, about tattooing.

Hekkie Budler, nicknamed “The Hexecutioner”, is one of South Africa’s most successful modern boxers.

He’s a two-time world champion, holding titles in the IBF and WBA mini-flyweight (strawweight) divisions.

Budler is known for his high ring IQ, slick movement, and relentless work rate rather than raw knockout power.

He fought and beat several elite international fighters, helping put South African boxing back on the global map.

Outside the ring, he’s respected for his discipline and professionalism, often praised as a role model for younger fighters.

• Even in losses, he was praised for tactical discipline and toughness, often pushing elite opponents deep into fights.


Why His Titles Matter

• He’s one of the most accomplished lower-weight boxers South Africa has ever produced.

• Winning belts in two weight divisions places him in an elite group of SA fighters.

• He helped raise the profile of minimumweight and light flyweight boxing, divisions often overlooked by casual fans.


A South African professional mixed martial artist who most recently competed in the Middleweight division of the EFC. A professional since 2009, he was one of the first South African MMA fighters to compete in the UFC.

Jacques and Jade collaborated on a half body piece of a custom freehand dragon that started in the centre of his back, below his neck, going down the whole left side of his back and onto his ribs, then wrapping around his thigh, down his leg all the way to his ankle.

Chromium is a South African metal band that formed around 2005 and is known for a heavy, energetic metalcore/grunge-influenced sound. They come from Port Elizabeth originally but became active in the Johannesburg metal scene.

• Formed: December 2005. 

• They’ve been described as a high-energy metal act with intense live shows. 


🎶 History & Releases

• The band members faced lineup changes over the years but kept pushing their sound and touring. 

• They released at least three albums and several music videos, including a self-titled album in 2011. 

• Tracks include United As One, Breathe Into This Life, Senseless Cabaret, and others from their 2011 self-released CD. 

• They also released singles and continued to work on new EPs like BloodLust. 


🌍 Live Performances
Chromium has played many live shows in South Africa and reportedly toured internationally, including in the UK.

They were also included in major local lineups (for example as a supporting act for shows where international bands played).

On Michiel Jade started with the cherry blossom branches at the bottom of his wrist, which is where Michiel thought he was going to stop. He didn’t stop and it graduated to a full sleeve, with some samurai warriors and some koi fish.

Dino is Jaded Ink’s longest standing sponsor, still going, our collaboration started at the beginning of 2012. We started with sleeving his right arm, then a lion on his chest and currently we are busy with his sleeve on his left arm.

Big, heavyweight Andrew Van Zyl, definitely stepped up to the plate as far as tattooing goes. We started with the Hulk and Punisher combo on his ribs, which was big enough to be anyone else’s back piece. We continued onto a half sleeve of King Kong.
